rainy days and mondays

it was a cold and rainy/wet snow kind of day in philadelphia….i didn’t let that slow me down though!  here’s the view from my hotel room.

bright lights, big city

i’ve seen a lot of people working on unfocused pictures, so i decided to give it a whirl.  another shot from my hotel room looking down on the city at night.

study break

i was in class all week- studied harder than i’ve studied in a LONG time! i thought keeping up with my pictures was going to be a challenge; however, i really looked forward to taking the picture- let me get out of my head a bit and have fun. here i am, jumping on my hotel bed!  sad to report that while this was fun channeling my inner child, my outer adult was quite winded in the end!

i’m just sittin’ here watching the wheels go round and round…

while breathing in some fresh air after being trapped in the basement all day, i couldn’t help but sing john lennon’s song “watching the wheels”.  i decided to attempt to make a visual.  it didn’t quite turn out the way i envisioned it, but i only had ten minutes before heading out to dinner and study session.  i might have to attempt this again down the road.

celebration

once again, not the greatest shot, but i just completed my course, and it was definitely time to celebrate.  i will say that my priority was not getting the picture- it was to not spill my drink!

comin’ home

similar to my travel day picture.  this was the part of the flight that i felt good (i was actually on it)…but that was short-lived (after a long week with little sleep and lots of stress, a night of celebrating, little sleep, and a stressful moment when you realized booked your flight for the day prior)!  needless to say, i was happy to get home!

exception to the rule

for those of you that know my son, you know how much he fears dogs.  he has found his second exception to his rule.  thank you, sweet daisy, for helping him overcome his fears (at least for a little bit!).
